USA Family Karate is now located at 2613 Maple Point Drive, Lafayette Indiana.  Prior to moving to our new location, the USA Family Karate program had been  based at the Lafayette Family YMCA since February 2007, where we share the same goal of building healthy minds, bodies and spirits in our members and our community.    USA Family Karate does not combine all age groups into one class as some schools do, or teach one curriculum to all students in the same manner. This approach will not benefit the students, but will cause confusion and frustration, as well as short change a students’ growth. The younger students will be overwhelmed, and the older students will become bored due to slowing things down for the younger students.  Although our "basic curriculum" is the same for all age groups, we understand that each age groups perception of learning and understanding new skills is different. To better facilitate your training, we have designed our programs to be age and ability appropriate, and have separated the students by age and group.  As a result, we have a curriculum for everyone age 4 to adult. The primary difference is in the approach of how we teach and present the curriculum to each age group.  All programs are presented in a positive, safe and fun environment. We do not single out one gender or age group as students.  Our goal is to provide you and/or your child with the knowledge and skills needed to help in leading a good quality life.
